Hello, my name is Katlin. I'm starting this Silent Sufferers blog in order to fulfill my passion for animal rights. I believe that all animals should be treated fairly, kindly and have the opportunity to thrive in an environment that is best for them. In this blog, I'll be discussing topics such as Animal Cruelty, Animal Testing, the necessity of Medical Animal Testing, ways we can help and even recipes to promote things such as Meatless Mondays. I hope to get support in this blog, and possibly start a donation to local charities in order to further promote this vision. I hope you decide to come along on this journey with me, and aid animals in the fight that they deserve to win.

Animal Shelters Need Our Help

As the days go by, more and more animals are being abandoned at shelters by owners who are ignorant and fearful. People all over are surrendering their 'beloved' pets because they're afraid they can transmit the Coronavirus. Which is ABSOLUTELY not true. Yes, dogs can contract the disease; however, they cannot re-transmit it to humans. This ignorance is going to kills hundreds, if not thousands of dogs, cats, and other animals people are surrendering. Personally, I don't see how anyone could care for a creature only to abandon it for no real reason, but I digress. This being said, animal shelters are overwhelmed. Shelters, on a normal day, have very limited funds, as most are only run by donations and volunteers, have limited room and not enough fosters.
